NFL PLAYER BRIAN WESTBROOK REACHES OUT TO HOMETOWN BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
All-Pro Running Back to Sponsor Fitness Talk and Personal Care Product Giveaway for Youth Ages 10 and Up
MAY 15, 2011 FORT WASHINGTON, MARYLAND – On Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 3:00pm, NFL Player Brian Westbrook will sponsor a distribution of personal care products and a fitness talk to the Allentown Boys & Girls Club members through his charitable arm, Brian’s Blessings. This purpose of the distribution is to lessen the financial strain on parents during this economy while ensuring that children have what they need to properly care for themselves.
“Personal hygiene and fitness is the first step to raising self-esteem, confidence and overall good health,” Westbrook says. “Teaching kids to take care of themselves and giving them the tools to do it is vital to their health and well-being.”
Mac James of Future of Fitness in Crofton is a certified strength and conditioning trainer and will be conducting a talk about fitness and nutrition for the children and their parents.
The children will be receiving various items such as soaps, bodywash, shampoo, lotions, toothbrushes, toothpaste and deodorant as well as information on personal hygiene and fitness.
The Allentown Boys & Girls Club is where Westbrook received his very first football uniform and spent many years as a member.
This event is by invitation only for the Allentown Boys & Girls Club members ages 10 and up and is not open to the public.
