There are a lot of people who wonder what the workout of a professional athlete is like. I certainly do not claim to be an expert on fitness, but I do know my body and what needs to be done to reach my top physical form. There is a big misconception that when athletes are not playing actual football games or in training camp, that it is “off season” for our bodies. Not true! I can not speak for every player but as for my “off season,” that is something that ends in March. I take a few weeks off after the rigors of practices and games to rest my body, allowing healing and recovery time that are needed even if you are injury-free.
