Eagles great season comes to an end in NFC Championship game

Unfortunately, the Eagles dreams of reaching the Super Bowl fell just short on Sunday, when they were ousted by the Arizona Cardinals. After starting the season with a 5-5-1 record and the playoffs seemed almost impossible, the Eagles went on a great run and were able to win 6 of their next 7 games to reach the NFC Championship game.

With all of their core players in place to return next year and TWO 1st round picks in the 2009 NFL Draft, the Eagles will enter the 2009 Season with high hopes of not only returning to the playoffs, but to win the Super Bowl!

How the Eagles' draft picks fit in for '09
McCoy will begin as a backup to Brian Westbrook. His number of carries will depend on the amount of time Reid runs the ball. He is also Westbrook's heir apparent.

Eagles' prized pupils complete first lessons
"He was telling me little keys he has," McCoy said. "You try to think like he thinks; hopefully, how successful he is, I'll get like that one day. He just kind of talked to me in a coaching way and also as a friend. He tried to simplify everything as much as possible for me."
